DSLR Video Essentials for Photographers.

This work­shop is designed for pho­tog­ra­phers who are mak­ing the tran­si­tion into dig­i­tal cin­ema. We will cover the essen­tial selec­tions of cam­eras, lenses, exter­nal mon­i­tors, fol­low focus units, fluid heads, sup­port rigs, mem­ory cards and hard dri­ves. We will also dis­cuss audio and con­stant light­ing solu­tions. The sim­i­lar­i­ties and dif­fer­ences of shoot­ing still pho­tographs and videos will be looked at as we explore res­o­lu­tion, file for­mats and file types. The busi­ness aspects of film­mak­ing will also be taught includ­ing film­mak­ing terms, shoot­ing tech­niques and respon­si­bil­i­ties of crew members.

Pre­req­ui­site: SWC-1012, Mac­in­tosh Basics, or equivalent.
